Laboratory for Ecology and Epidemiology of Arbovirus Infections

The Lab performs ecological and epidemiological monitoring of arbovirus infections with use modern molecular biological methods for its diagnosis. Epidemic patterns and forming of population immunity, control on bringing the arboviruses into the territory of Belarus from another countries, investigations of outbreaks of infectious diseases of unclear etiology are also studied. The diagnostic preparations (test-systems, antigens, immune ascitic fluids) for the express-indication and identification of isolated arbovirus strains are elaborated.
